Diagnosis & Repair Procedure

NOTE: When preforming tests, take into consideration atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric pressure varies depending on weather conditions and altitude.
  1. Perform DTC CONFIRMATION TEST . If DTC P01451 is set, go to next step. If DTC P1451 is not set, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. See TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool. Turn ignition on. Select DATA LIST mode on scan tool. Observe manifold absolute pressure. See SENSOR OPERATING RANGE CHARTS article. Go to next step.
  3. If reading is within specification, replace PCM and go to DTC CONFIRMATION TEST . If reading is not within specification, check MAP sensor and MAP sensor circuit operation. Go to DTC P0106: MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE PROBLEM .
