DTC P0340: Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction: Condition

DTC is set when Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor input voltage but no Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor input voltage with engine running. Possible causes are:

• Open or short circuit between CMP and PCM.
• CMP reluctor wheel damaged.
• CMP sensor malfunction.
• CMP sensor dirty or loose.
• CKP sensor dirty or loose.
• PCM malfunction.
