Diagnosis & Repair Procedure

  1. Perform DTC CONFIRMATION TEST . If DTC P0133 is set, go to next step. If DTC P0133 is not set, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. See TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES article.
  2. If any DTCs besides DTC P0133 are set, diagnose those DTCs first. Before replacing HO2S No. 1, inspect sensor for contamination. If contamination is present, determine cause and repair before installing new HO2S No. 1. If contamination is not present, replace HO2S No. 1 and go to DTC CONFIRMATION TEST .
