System Operation Check

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position, with engine off. On Lanos, system is functioning normally if AIR BAG warning light comes on and then goes out after about 7 seconds with engine off. On Leganza and Nubira, system is functioning normally if AIR BAG warning light flashes 7 times then goes out with engine off.
  2. On all models, if AIR BAG warning remains on, this indicates a fault in the SRS. If SRS warning light fails to illuminate when ignition is first turned on, this indicates bulb is faulty or there is a fault in the wiring circuit to the bulb.
