Inspection

1. Connect manifold gauge set to expansion valve and its charging hose to refrigerant container.
2. Soak remote bulb of expansion valve in water contained in a water pan.
3. Previously close both low and high pressure valves.
4. Open refrigerant container valve.
5. Open high pressure valve to adjust pressure to approx. 5 kg/sq.cm (71 psi).
6. Read the pressure indicated on low pressure gauge. At the same time, use a thermometer to measure water temperature.




7. Use the Chart as shown left to check whether above measurements fall within shaded acceptable range.
