Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Using appropriate line wrench, label, remove and cap brake lines from ABS hydraulic unit/control module assembly. Disconnect ABS hydraulic unit/control module 34-pin electrical harness connector. Remove 3 retaining nuts and lift ABS hydraulic unit/control module off mounting bracket.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Bleed brake system and check for fluid leakage. Perform ABS hydraulic unit operation check. See HYDRAULIC UNIT OPERATION CHECK  under COMPONENT TESTS.
