DTC P0480: Radiator Fan Control Circuit Malfunction: Condition
Radiator cooling fan is controlled by Engine Control Module (ECM), or when engine coolant temperature reaches a predetermined level. Radiator cooling fan will turn on when engine coolant temperature is 208°F (98°C) or more and will turn off when engine coolant temperature is less than 200°F (93°C). DTC is set when monitor signal of radiator cooling fan relay is different than command signal. Possible causes are:
- Short or open circuit between ignition switch and ECM.
- Radiator cooling fan relay malfunction.
- ECM malfunction.
