DTC P0481: A/C Cooling Fan Control Circuit Malfunction: Condition

DTC is set when Engine Control Module (ECM) detects low input voltage from condenser fan relay when engine coolant temperature is less than 230°F (110°C) and ECM is not sending an on signal to A/C amplifier. This is a continuous monitor. MIL is illuminated when ECM detects malfunction during 2 consecutive drive cycles. Possible causes are:

• Short or open circuit between ignition switch and ECM.
• Condenser fan relay malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
