DTC P0118: High Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit Input: Condition

DTC is set when Engine Control Module (ECM) detects Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor input voltage is 5 volts or more for 5 seconds continuously. Engine coolant temperature low and ECT sensor resistance high. Possible causes are:

• ECT sensor malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
