DTC P1500: Starter Signal Circuit Malfunction: Condition

DTC is set when Engine Control Module (ECM) detects low voltage at starter circuit when cranking engine, or high voltage after engine is started. This is a continuous monitor. MIL is illuminated when ECM detects malfunction during 2 consecutive drive cycles. Possible causes are:

• Open circuit between ignition switch and ECM.
• ECM malfunction.
