Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

IGNITION (MAIN) SWITCH

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2. Disable air bag system. Refer to "DISABLING AIR BAG SYSTEM".
3. Remove steering column. And then remove steering lock/main switch from steering column.

INSTALLATION
1. Install steering lock/main switch and steering column.
2. Enable air bag system. Refer to "DISABLING AIR BAG SYSTEM".

NOTE: When installing steering column, special care must be used for tightening sequence and each torque.
