Abs Warning Light Stays On

  1. Ensure ignition is in LOCK position. Disconnect harness connector at ABS actuator assembly. Turn ignition on. Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 6 (Blue/Orange wire) on harness connector. See Figure . If ABS warning light is off, replace ABS actuator assembly and recheck light. If light is illuminated, go to next step.
  2. Ensure ground wire is connected. Remove combination meter from instrument panel. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 12 (Blue/Orange wire) on combination meter 16-pin harness connector. If resistance is less than 2 ohms, replace combination meter. If resistance is 2 ohms or greater, repair open Blue/Orange wire.
