Grand Vitara & Vitara
- Disconnect front wiper motor connector. Using jumper wire, connect 12-volt source to terminal "A" at front wiper motor connector. Ground Black lead at wiper motor connector. See Fig 1
. Wiper motor should operate at low speed of about 45-55 RPM. Replace front wiper motor if wiper motor operation is not as specified. See WIPER MOTOR
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If wiper motor operation is as specified, go to next step.
- Remove jumper wire from terminal "A" and connect to terminal "B" at wiper motor connector. Wiper motor should operate at high speed of about 67-83 RPM. Replace front wiper motor if wiper motor operation is not as specified. See WIPER MOTOR
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If wiper motor operation is as specified, go to next step.
- Using additional jumper wire, connect wiper motor connector terminals "A" and "D". Connect 12-volt source jumper wire to terminal "C" at wiper motor connector. Wiper motor should make one revolution and stop at Park position. Repeat 2 more times. Replace front wiper motor if motor does not return to Park position consistently. See WIPER MOTOR
