Actual Vehicle Speed Varies From Set Speed

If actual vehicle speed varies from set speed, perform the following procedures in order:

• Check actuator cable free play and operation. See CRUISE CONTROL ACTUATOR CABLE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
• Perform THROTTLE VALVE OPENING SIGNAL CIRCUIT CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
• Replace actuator with known-good unit. See ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
