Coil Spring: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheel(s). On 2WD models, remove hub center cover. On 4WD models, remove axle shaft drive flange. Remove axle shaft snap ring. On all models, disconnect brake line from strut. Remove caliper from steering knuckle, and wire aside. Using Tie Rod Remover (09913-65210), remove tie rod end from steering knuckle. Remove stabilizer ball joint. Remove ABS sensor and clamp.
- Remove brake disc. If disc cannot be removed by hand, install two 8-mm bolts into threaded holes. Alternately tighten bolts to remove rotor from hub. Support control arm with jack. Remove strut-to-steering knuckle bolts. Disconnect ball joint from steering knuckle. Remove steering knuckle from vehicle. Slowly lower jack supporting control arm and remove coil spring from bump stopper.
