Preliminary Setup Procedure

NOTE: Diagnostic procedures were written for use with Suzuki's scan tool. Other scan tools can be used, but may have limited functions. For additional information, refer to the scan tool manufacturer's instructions.
  1. Ensure battery is fully charged. Inspect brake system for leaks or damage. Repair as needed.
  2. Connect Suzuki scan tool to DLC located under driver's side of instrument panel. Turn ignition on. Check if any DTCs are present. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  . Repair any DTCs before proceeding with bleeding procedure.
  3. NOTE: Pressurize brake fluid by depressing brake pedal if pressure brake bleeding equipment is not available.
  4. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect appropriate pressure brake bleeder following manufacturers instructions. Raise and support vehicle. Remove all wheels. Pressurize brake system to 35 PSI (241.3 kpa).
