A/C System Performance
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Suzuki Swift and 2000 Suzuki Swift. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Park vehicle out of direct sunlight. Warm engine to normal operating temperature and allow it to idle. Set A/C controls to recirculated air, panel (vent) mode, full cold, and A/C switch on. Verify A/C compressor and condenser fan are on.
- Set blower/fan on high speed. Open hood, windows and doors. Operate system until refrigerant pressures stabilize. Insert thermometer in center vent, and measure air discharge temperature. See A/C CENTER OUTLET VENT TEMPERATURES table. Temperature must be as specified at center vent, with high side low pressures within specification. See A/C REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PRESSURES table.
