Cruise Indicator Light Circuit Check
- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect CC ECU harness connector. Turn ignition on. If CRUISE indicator light illuminates, repair short to ground in Green wire (Esteem) or Green/Yellow wire (Grand Vitara and Vitara) between combination meter and CC ECU. If CRUISE indicator light does not illuminate, go to next step.
- Connect a jumper wire between ground and CC ECU harness connector terminal No. 4 (Green wire on Esteem; Green/Yellow wire on Grand Vitara and Vitara). See Figure . Turn ignition on. If CRUISE indicator light illuminates, circuit is okay. If CRUISE indicator light does not illuminate, go to next step.
- Check CRUISE indicator light bulb. Replace as necessary. If CRUISE indicator light bulb is okay, check for open Black/White wire between combination meter and fuse box. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If Black/White wire is okay, repair open in Green wire (Esteem) or Green/Yellow wire (Grand Vitara and Vitara) between combination meter and CC ECU.
