Refrigerant Charge Check

H25 Engine:

CHECK AND SUPPLEMENT OF REFRIGERANT
If receiver/dryer is equipped with sight glass, the following procedure can be used for quickly checking whether the A/C system has a proper charge of refrigerant or not.

Run engine at fast idle, and operate A/C at its max. cooling capacity for a few minutes. Then, look at the sight glass on receiver/dryer and compare what is observed with the symptoms listed in "CHECKING REFRIGERANT CHARGE" table.




CHECKING REFRIGERANT CHARGE
If equipped without sight glass, can not performed quickly checking. To check if refrigerant is properly charged or not, perform "CORRECTIVE MEASURES FOR MALFUNCTION SYMPTOMS".

As a result, if adjustment a proper amount of refrigerant is necessary for refrigerant system.

Charge a proper amount of refrigerant to A/C system according to charging procedure described in recovery, evacuation and charging.

NOTE: If equipped without sight glass, do not perform an additional refrigerant charging to A/C system. This cause it to overcharge.
