Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Suzuki Swift and 2000 Suzuki Swift. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG SYSTEM SAFETY article in GENERAL SERVICING. Disconnect negative battery cable. Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment.
  2. Disconnect refrigerant hose(s) from condenser fittings. Plug hoses to prevent contamination. Remove horn.
  3. Disconnect and plug receiver-drier outlet pipe above condenser cooling fan. Disconnect air bag sensor wiring. Remove front bumper. Remove hood latch and lock assembly, bracket and air bag sensor. Disconnect fan motor wiring harness.
  4. Remove condenser, cooling fan and receiver-drier as an assembly. Remove cooling fan and receiver-drier from condenser. Reverse removal procedure to install. Evacuate and charge A/C system. Check for leaks.
