Cruise Control Electronic Control Unit/Actuator
Cruise Control Electronic Control Unit (CC ECU) is built into the actuator. Cruise control actuator uses a cable to operate the throttle according to signal provided by CC ECU to control vehicle speed. Cruise control actuator is located in engine compartment. See Figure .
The CC ECU is a microprocessor which uses input signals from various switches and sensors for controlling cruise control system operating functions. These functions include: maintaining a constant speed, resuming a constant speed, accelerating, coasting, limiting maximum/minimum speed and canceling cruise control system operation.
