Removal & Installation

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheels. Disconnect parking brake hanger from trailing rod. Use floor jack to support axle housing. Remove nuts attaching lower control arm to body and axle housing. See Figure . Remove lower control arm.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. DO NOT tighten fasteners. Lower vehicle. Bounce vehicle to stabilize suspension. Raise axle housing, and tighten lower control arm nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
