Pre-Diagnosis Inspection

If ABS warning light illuminates, check the following items before proceeding with testing:

• Ensure parking brake is not partially applied or parking brake switch is damaged.
• Ensure service brakes are not dragging.
• If vehicle was stuck in mud, sand or snow, warning light may illuminate.
• If wheel spin occurred while driving, warning light may illuminate.
• If wheel was spun while vehicle was lifted, warning light may illuminate.
