Control Rods: Installation

  1. Install, but DO NOT tighten, control rod bolts with adjustment cam facing down. Install brake flexhose bracket. Align toe-in cam with location marks made during removal.
  2. DO NOT tighten control rod toe-in cam bolt or outer control rod nut with vehicle on hoist. Lower vehicle until suspension is at normal riding height, and tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check toe-in. See SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
