Description & Operation
MacPherson strut independent front suspension is used. Strut and strut support are isolated by rubber mounts. Lower end of strut is connected to steering knuckle. Lower end of steering knuckle is attached by ball joint to lower control arm. See Fig 1.
Steering wheel movement is transmitted to tie rod end and steering knuckle, causing wheel to turn. With steering knuckle movement, strut also rotates by means of top strut bearing and lower ball joint pivot.
