Wheel Bearings

Wheel bearings are not adjustable. To check wheel bearing(s) for excessive wear, raise and support vehicle. Remove hub center dust cover and mount a dial indicator to measure wheel hub thrust play. Grasp wheel and apply push/pull force in and out. Note indicator reading. Replace bearing if movement exceeds .016" (.41 mm).
