Diagnostic Procedure
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check brake lights. If brake lights are off, go to step 3 . If brake lights are on, go to next step.
- Disconnect brake light switch harness connector and check brake lights. If brake lights are off, adjust or replace brake light switch. If brake lights are on, repair Green/White wire for short to voltage.
- Disconnect EBCM 8-pin and 24-pin harness connectors. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage of Green/White wire between ground and EBCM 24-pin harness connector terminal No. 21. If voltage is 2 volts or less, go to next step. If voltage is not 2 volts or less, repair Green/White wire for short to voltage.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check for poor terminal contact of Green/White wire at terminal No. 21 of EBCM 24-pin harness connector. If connector is okay, reconnect all harness connectors. Test drive vehicle for 2 drive cycles above 25 MPH. See DIAGNOSIS & TESTING . If DTC 94 resets, replace EBCM. If DTC 94 does not reset, system is currently functioning correctly. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS .
