Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check brake lights. If brake lights are off, go to step  3 . If brake lights are on, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect brake light switch harness connector and check brake lights. If brake lights are off, adjust or replace brake light switch. If brake lights are on, repair Green/White wire for short to voltage.
  3. Disconnect EBCM 8-pin and 24-pin harness connectors. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage of Green/White wire between ground and EBCM 24-pin harness connector terminal No. 21. If voltage is 2 volts or less, go to next step. If voltage is not 2 volts or less, repair Green/White wire for short to voltage.
  4. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check for poor terminal contact of Green/White wire at terminal No. 21 of EBCM 24-pin harness connector. If connector is okay, reconnect all harness connectors. Test drive vehicle for 2 drive cycles above 25 MPH. See DIAGNOSIS & TESTING  . If DTC 94 resets, replace EBCM. If DTC 94 does not reset, system is currently functioning correctly. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  .
