Valve Body: Disassembly

  1. Remove lower valve body cover bolts. Remove lower valve body cover and gasket. Remove direct clutch and 2nd brake solenoids from valve body. See Figure.
  2. Remove 16 bolts from upper valve body. Carefully remove upper valve body from lower valve body. DO NOT allow 4 steel check balls to drop out. Remove valve body gaskets. See Figure.
  3. All valve body components must be installed in original location. Lay all components out in sequence during removal for reassembly reference. Note valve diameter and check ball location. See Figure.
