Removal & Installation: Strut: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Support lower control arm using floor jack. Remove strut-to-body nuts on upper side of strut. See Figure. Remove lower strut-to-knuckle pinch bolt. See Fig 1.CAUTION: To prevent brake flexhose from stretching or coil spring from coming out of control arm, DO NOT lower floor jack more than necessary during strut removal.
- Compress and remove strut. If strut will not come out of knuckle, slightly open slit of knuckle with a wedge. See Fig 1. Check strut for leaks or damage. Replace if necessary.
