Removal & Installation

EBCM is located under right side of instrument panel above fuse/relay block. See Figure . Disconnect negative battery terminal. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in appropriate STEERING COLUMNS article. Remove left kick trim panel. Disconnect all fuse/relay block electrical connectors and lamp driver module connector. Remove fuse/relay block. Disconnect EBCM connectors. Remove 3 bolts, EBCM and lamp driver module. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners to specification.
