Catalytic Converter: Description and Operation

THREE WAY CATALYTIC CONVERTER
The three way catalytic converter(s) is (are) provided in the exhaust system (exhaust pipe and/or exhaust manifold). The function of the catalyst is to reduce the emission of CO, HC and NOx in the exhaust gas by oxidizing or converting them into CO2, H2O and N2 respectively.
