Disabling System (LX470)

  1. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from vehicle owner and record preset radio frequencies before disconnecting battery.
  2. Place front wheels in straight-ahead position. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect and shield negative battery cable. Wait at least 90 SECONDS before working on vehicle.
  3. Disconnect driver air bag module Yellow 2-pin connector located under steering column, near combination switch. See Figure. Air bag connector terminals are automatically shorted together. See Figure.
  4. Remove glove box door. Remove finish panel from above glove box opening. Remove passenger air bag connector from air bag bracket in upper left corner of glove box opening. Unplug passenger air bag Yellow 2-pin connector. Air bag connector terminals are automatically shorted together. See Figure and Figure .
  5. Unplug left and right seat belt pretensioner 2-pin connectors located behind center pillar lower trim plates. Door scuff plates and opening trim will have to be removed before removing center pillar lower trim plates. Connector terminals are automatically shorted together.
