Diagnostic Procedure

  1. If DTC 62 occurs intermittently, see DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  . If DTC is currently set, turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect motor pack 6-pin harness connector. Measure resistance between ground and motor pack 6-pin harness connector terminal No. 2 (Brown wire). If resistance reading is infinite, go to next step. If resistance reading is not infinite, repair short to ground in Brown wire.
  2. Measure resistance between ground and motor pack 6-pin harness connector terminal No. 1 (Brown/Black wire). If resistance reading is infinite, go to next step. If resistance reading is not infinite, repair short to ground in Brown/Black wire.
  3. Measure resistance between ground and motor pack 6-pin harness connector terminal No. 2. If resistance is infinite, replace EBCM and recheck ABS system. If resistance is not infinite, replace motor pack. After all diagnosis is complete, clear DTC and test drive vehicle for 3 drive cycles to verify that DTC does not reset.
