Removal & Installation: Esteem: Installation
- Install torque converter on transaxle. Measure distance from edge of transaxle case to torque converter mounting flange. Distance should be .929-1.004" (23.6-25.5 mm). If measured distance is less than specification, torque converter is not installed correctly.
- To install transaxle, reverse removal procedures. Ensure oil seals are not damaged when axle shafts are installed. Push in axle shafts. DO NOT hit axle shafts with a hammer during installation. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check fluid level and adjust as necessary. Road test vehicle and check for leaks.
