Removal & Installation

  1. Remove ABS actuator. See ABS ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (HYDRAULIC MODULATOR/MOTOR PACK)  . Remove 6 Torx head screws and gear cover from hydraulic modulator/motor pack assembly. Remove 4 Torx head screws and motor pack from hydraulic modulator. DO NOT allow gear to turn when removing nut. Piston can hit top of modulator bore, damaging piston.
  2. Turn modulator gear to center piston in its travel. Place a screwdriver through holes in gears (not between gears) into recessed hole in modulator base. Remove 3 nuts and gears from hydraulic modulator.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. With hydraulic modulator upside-down, and gears facing you, rotate each gear counterclockwise until movement stops. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
