Recall 00V062000: Child Restraint Written Instructions

These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS No. 225.S12, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems." The owner's manuals accompanying these vehicles do not have certain written instructions as required by the standard.

The manufacturer's petition which requested that NHTSA determine this FMVSS noncompliance does not create an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety has been denied. Therefore, this manufacturer is obligated to conduct an owner notification and remedy campaign. (9-19-2000 - See Recall No. 00V-286)
