System Tests: Notes

NOTE: PCM may also be referred to as ECM.

CAUTION: Before performing system tests, ensure battery is fully charged, as a low battery may result in incorrect diagnosis.

CAUTION: When performing the following system tests, it may be necessary to disconnect harness connector from Cruise Control Electronic Control Unit (CC ECU). Ensure ignition is off before disconnecting harness connector at CC ECU. The CC ECU is part of cruise control actuator and contains a 12-pin harness connector. See Figure . DO NOT apply test equipment directly to CC ECU terminals or CC ECU may be damaged. Connect DVOM leads to wire harness side of connector only.
