Test 1: All Power Windows Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on. Check system related fuses/circuit breakers. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  table. Replace fuses/circuit breakers as needed and check for short to ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Ensure battery voltage exists at both fuse/circuit breaker terminals. If voltage does not exist at either terminal, inspect and repair circuit as needed. If voltage exists at both fuse/circuit breaker terminals, go to next step.
  2. Remove master power window switch. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (ignition feed circuit) at switch harness connector. If voltage exists, go to next step. If voltage does not exist, inspect and repair circuit as needed.
  3. Using DVOM, check for continuity between vehicle ground and terminal No. 9 (ground circuit) at switch harness connector. If continuity exists, replace master power window switch. If continuity does not exist, inspect and repair circuit as needed.
