DTC Confirmation Test

  1. Ensure intake air temperature is 6.8-158°F (-14-70°C), vehicle is at an altitude of 9150 feet or below, and barometric pressure is 74 kPa or more. Ensure DTCs P0102, P0103, P0335 P1408 and P1451 are not set. Turn ignition off, connect scan tool and turn ignition on. Clear DTCs.   2. Start engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. Drive vehicle with engine speed at 3000-4500 RPM. Stop vehicle. Check for DTC P0101. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article.
