Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

EVAPORATOR THERMISTOR




A thermistor is a temperature sensor to sense the temperature of air discharge from evaporator. The electrical characteristic is shown.
When temperature is lower than specified, amplifier makes magnet clutch turn off to prevent evaporator from frosting.

Check resistance if it is within the shaded range of the graph.
