Scan Tool Method (TCM)

  1. Using SUZUKI scan tool with A/T cartridge, interface TCM by connecting to OBD-II 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under instrument panel, accessible from driver's side. Retrieve DTCs following scan tool manufacturer's instructions.
  2. If DTCs are present, identify DTC and diagnose accordingly. See DTC/FLASH CODE IDENTIFICATION  table, then proceed to DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. After repairs, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  . Test drive vehicle and ensure O/D OFF indicator or MIL does not illuminate.
