Scan Tool Method (TCM)

- Using SUZUKI scan tool with A/T cartridge, interface TCM by connecting to OBD-II 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under instrument panel, accessible from driver's side. Retrieve DTCs following scan tool manufacturer's instructions.
- If DTCs are present, identify DTC and diagnose accordingly. See DTC/FLASH CODE IDENTIFICATION table, then proceed to DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. After repairs, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . Test drive vehicle and ensure O/D OFF indicator or MIL does not illuminate.
