DTC 61: Pump Motor Circuit
- If pump motor runs constantly, go to next step. If pump motor does not run constantly, go to step 4 .
- Test pump motor relay. See PUMP MOTOR RELAY under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace relay if faulty. If pump motor relay is okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control module. Turn ignition on. If pump motor does not run, substitute a known-good ABS control module. If pump motor runs, White/Green wire between pump motor relay and pump motor harness connector is shorted to power. Repair as necessary. Recheck for symptom and DTC.
- Disconnect pump motor relay. Inspect relay connector terminals for corrosion and damage, repair as necessary. If connector terminals are okay, test pump motor relay. See PUMP MOTOR RELAY under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace relay if faulty. If pump motor relay is okay, go to next step.
- Disconnect pump motor. Inspect motor connector terminals for corrosion and damage, repair as necessary. If connector terminals are okay, test pump motor. See PUMP MOTOR under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace motor if faulty. If pump motor is okay, go to next step.
- Disconnect ABS control module. Inspect harness connector E23, terminals No. 1 and 7 for corrosion and damage, repair as necessary. See Figure . If connector terminals are okay, check continuity of Gray/Black wire between pump motor relay and ABS control module harness connector terminal No. 1. Repair circuit if continuity does not exist. If continuity exists, go to next step.
- Check continuity of White/Green wire between pump motor relay and pump motor harness connector. Repair circuit if continuity does not exist. If continuity exists, substitute a known-good ABS control module. Recheck for symptom and DTC.
