Engine Control Module

TCM sends the following signals to Engine Control Module (ECM):

• Torque reduction signal for softer upshifts and downshifts.
• Transmission range switch signal to indicate selector lever position. ECM uses this signal to modify engine control strategy.
• Serial data providing malfunction information.
