Knee Diverter: Description and Operation

KNEE BOLSTERS
The knee bolsters are used to absorb energy and control the forward movement of the vehicle's front seat occupants during a frontal crash, by limiting leg movement.





To further absorb the crash energy there is a knee bolster located beneath the instrument panel for both the driver and passenger and the steering column is collapsible.
