BRAKELIGHT Switch
- Disconnect brakelight switch harness connector, located near top of brake pedal. See Figure
. Remove brakelight switch from mounting bracket.
- Check continuity between terminals No. 1 and 3 at brakelight switch. See Fig 1
. Continuity should exist with plunger on brake switch fully outward and continuity should not exist with plunger fully depressed.
- Check continuity between terminals No. 2 and 4 on brakelight switch. Continuity should not exist with plunger on brake switch fully outward and continuity should exist with plunger fully depressed. If continuity is not as specified, replace and adjust brakelight switch. See BRAKELIGHT SWITCH
