Mode Actuator

  1. Using jumper wires, connect battery positive to mode actuator terminal No. 6 (Black/White wire) and battery negative to actuator terminal No. 7 (Black wire).
  2. Using a third jumper wire, ground mode actuator terminal No. 5 (Gray/Blue wire). Mode actuator should be in vent mode (actuator lever close to horizontal, pointing toward mounting hole).
  3. Using the third jumper wire, ground mode actuator terminal No. 4 (Gray/Black wire). Mode actuator should be in bi-level mode (actuator lever pointing down, about 45 from to horizontal).
  4. Using the third jumper wire, ground mode actuator terminal No. 3 (Red/White wire). Mode actuator should be in heat mode (actuator lever pointing down, close to vertical).
  5. Using the third jumper wire, ground mode actuator terminal No. 2 (Pink/Green wire). Mode actuator should be in defrost-heat mode (actuator lever pointing vertically straight down).
  6. Using the third jumper wire, ground mode actuator terminal No. 1 (Gray/Red wire). Mode actuator should be in defrost mode (actuator lever pointing down, toward nearby mounting hole). If actuator lever is not as specified, replace mode actuator.
