Bleeding Procedure

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Ensure all bleeder plugs are closed. Using scan tool, select MISC TESTS, then AUTO BLEED. Press ENTER. Pump motor and front release valves will cycle for one minute. Once cycling has stopped, scan tool will display a "cool down" mode count down timer.
  2. Once timer has expired, open left rear bleeder screw as instructed by scan tool. Press ENTER. Scan tool will cycle respective release valve and pump motor for 60 seconds. Pump brake pedal if pressure brake bleeding equipment is not available. Close bleeder screw.
  3. Once timer has expired, open right front bleeder screw as instructed by scan tool. Press ENTER. Scan tool will cycle respective release valve and pump motor for 20 seconds. Close bleeder screw.
  4. Once timer has expired, open left front bleeder screw as instructed by scan tool. Press ENTER. Scan tool will cycle respective release valve and pump motor for 20 seconds. Close bleeder screw.
  5. Scan tool should display bleeding procedure is complete. Remove pressure brake bleeding equipment (if applicable). Top off master cylinder brake fluid reservoir. Check brake pedal for correct height and firm pedal feel.
