Grand Vitara & Vitara
- Apply parking brake. Disconnect harness connector at transmission range switch, located on side of transmission.
- Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between specified terminals at transmission range switch with shift lever in specified positions. See TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH SPECIFICATIONS table. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . If continuity is not as specified, adjust or replace switch as necessary.
