Instrument Panels: Description

WARNING: Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.

Standard instrument cluster includes speedometer, tachometer (if equipped), coolant temperature and fuel gauges. All models come standard with oil pressure, air bag, brake, seat belt warnings, charging, and check engine or service engine soon indicator lights. Swift also comes standard with a daytime running light indicator. Swift is available with optional ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System), ABS active and shift-up indicator lights. Esteem is available with optional daytime running lights, ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System), overdrive (O/D) off and cruise indicator lights. Grand Vitara and Vitara are available with optional ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System), overdrive (O/D) off, cruise, power and 4WD (Four Wheel Drive) indicator lights.
