Description & Operation

Suzuki vehicles are equipped with 2-speed wiper system. A 3-speed wiper system with intermittent mode is optional. Intermittent mode is a fixed delay on Swift. Intermittent mode is a variable delay on Esteem, Grand Vitara and Vitara. Washer system uses a reservoir-mounted electric pump located in the engine compartment or behind shield in left front fender area.

A one-speed rear wiper/washer is optional on Grand Vitara, Swift and Vitara. Rear wiper/washer switch is located on instrument panel, to right of steering column. Rear wiper/washer switch contains 2 separate switches. Top switch controls wiper motor and bottom switch controls washer pump. Push top switch to turn on rear wiper motor and push switch again to turn rear wiper motor off. Hold bottom switch in to operate rear washer (switch moves to OFF position when switch is released).
